Cast iron pipes
The bag-end pipes are produced for applications involving the passage of water and sewage. Unlike common gray irons – structured with the crystallization of carbon in the form of lamellae, cast iron is composed of a spheroidal form of graphite. This composition prevents the structure of the cast iron bag-end pipe from cracking, even in applications involving the passage of fluids with high concentration of force. Thus, cast iron pipes obtain great resistance, long durability and high levels of resistance.
The model called bag-end is a type of cast iron pipe that has a larger diameter at one end. The wider end, called the bag, is used to fit into other pipes, reinforcing the sealing of the joint and reducing the chances of leaks.
Types of pipes:
- TIP AND BAG TUBES FOR WATER CONDUCTION (NBR 7675)
- PIPES WITH END AND BAG FOR SEWAGE CONDUITATION (NBR 15420)
